Lord we thank you for your guidance in this life. The examples of the saints and martyrs are difficult but good for us to follow. Help us to stay on their track and find our way to heaven too. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Lord who upholds us against our adversaries, against many who rise against us; may your salvation be ours, may our faith in you hold us, for you are our strength. You O Lord are our shield, our glory, you lift up our head. We lie down in sleep and wake up again, for the Lord sustains us. We fear not the myriads of people arrayed against us for you are at our side.
Let us seek the Lord of Light in our darkness. Let us seek the Lord of healing in our sicknesses. Let us seek the Lord of holiness in our blindness. Amen
The more we give and share with others from the resources we have the more we are personally enriched; on the other hand, to cling to our gifts and keep them just for ourselves is to become smaller in every way.
Heavenly Father, thank you for watching over us. We know that you are a loving father who wants to know our wants and needs. Help us to stay diligent in our prayers as we grow closer to you each and every day. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord we pray. Amen.
Father, thank you for your word, thank you that one day you are coming back. May we tell the truth in love to those who don't know you. Amen
"Wisdom is mobile beyond all motion,
and she penetrates and pervades all things by reason of her purity.
For she is an aura of the might of God
and a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty;
therefore nought that is sullied enters into her.
For she is the refulgence of eternal light,
the spotless mirror of the power of God,
the image of his goodness.
And she, who is one, can do all things."
“As he was entering a village, ten lepers met [him]. They stood at a distance from him and raised their voice, saying ‘Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!’ “ (Luke 17:12-13)
Let us seek for this grace of growing in the Service of the Lord. “Lord, you have proclaimed yourself to be the first and last. Help us to be your faithful servants by keeping your commands in our everyday lives. Amen
Lord may I always remember the mill stone when I'm talking with others. Please help us to stay on the path to your salvation and not hinder others as we go. Amen
"... taking thought of wisdom is the perfection of prudence, and whoever for her sake keeps vigil shall quickly be free from care." (Wisdom 6:15)
Possessions can be used as they pertain to eternity. As the Rabbis said: “The rich help the poor in this world, but the poor help the rich in the world to come!”
Lord we thank you for all the gifts that make humanity great among your creations. We ask you to strengthen that which we are lacking in and provide encouragement in our growth. We ask all this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you for taking care of us even when we are not so faithful. God our refuge and stronghold, an ever-present help in distress; You the great I AM, all the heavens adore and glorify you. May you take all the honor, praise and adoration. Though the earth and the mountains make shook and disappear, we are not afraid, for you are with us always. Thank you for this life you have given us.
Love becomes more perfect, freedom becomes more noble!
Father, Reveal how much you love us and expose any sin in or lives that hinders us from obeying you. In Jesus name amen.
"When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or sisters or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. Rather, when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." Luke 14:12-14.
Loving God, help us to find joy in serving you. Help us to hand over to you any burdens that we bear….we know that with you the yoke is easy and our burdens are light. Amen.
"For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled,
but the one who humbles himself will be exalted." (Lk 14:11)
"For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my own people." (Romans 9:3)
“The souls of the just are in the hand of God” (Wis 3:1)
O God we celebrate all the saints today that are in communion with you. We also ask for all of us, the saints in the making, to follow your words of the beatitudes and live them out in our actions this day.
