The interesting thing about this kind of contemplation is that you allow the text to speak to you in each character and sometimes you discover exceptional things that go beyond the normal thoughts or impressions we have of each character. For example, generally, the sentiments regarding Judas Iscariot are usually condemnation and scorn, for betraying his Master and Friend. However, when you put yourself in Judas’s shoes, you may find yourself being suddenly compassionate because you realize this could be you every time you fail to follow Christ’s example, and you silently realize your own need for compassion. You may see an invitation from the Lord to forgive a betrayal you have suffered at the hands of a dear one… the possibilities are plentiful, varied, and personal,
