. At the end of the Gospel, Jesus gives a final promise: “I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Even though he ascended to the Father, he has not abandoned his Church. He remains present through the Holy Spirit, through the sacraments, through the Word of God, and through the community of believers.

Today’s feast challenges us to reflect on how we use whatever authority or responsibility we have. Parents, teachers, priests, leaders, and all Christians are called to continue the mission of Christ. And he invites us to share in that mission so that, through our lives, others may come to know the hope, peace, and salvation that God offers to the whole world.
