Lord we ask for your guidance as we attempt to understand and unpack your scriptures. Guide us with your spirit that we may fully understand and comprehend the messages you have given to us in these holy texts from your very Word, Jesus Christ himself. Give us the courage to seek you in prayer and the willingness to follow your words into a deeper understanding of your call to us in this time. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our lord.
