With today’s Gospel we find Jesus abolishing the old law and replacing it with the new idea of non resentment and non retaliation. We will miss the point if we try to take him literally. But he does provide three examples!
Lord we thank you for sending us your Son, your Word that sustains us daily in the Eucharist. We ask you to remind us of his triumph over death and sin today and that we feel the renewing effect his body and blood have on us in body, mind, and spirit. We ask you to pour out all these things for us who love and adore you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Brother Jesus, help us to be people of God. People with the courage to be your followers everyday of our lives, in all of our actions. Amen

Dear Lord, Your Spirit is all around us and many times we fail to see your beauty. We ask for your grace to be freed from the darkness so that we may be covered in the light of eternal life. Thank you Lord for the blessings of this day and grant that your glory may dwell in our land. Amen.
Loving God, forgive us for the times that we take the credit to ourselves. Help us to recognize that all comes from you. Amen.
Heavenly and most gracious God, a God full of mercy and compassion, may You hear our cries, You who are good, the great I AM, mighty man in battle;God of the rich and of the poor, may you kindle in us the fire of your love, that we may truly be the lamp post shining ever so brightly in your world, bringing the good news to the world through Christ our Lord. Amen.
He himself was One of the Poor, Meek, Hungry and Thirsty, Merciful, Clean of Heart, Pacemaker and the Persecuted One!Today let us look to Jesus, the Teacher and the One who lived out the Beatitudes, and make our Christian life more meaningful!May the Divine Instructional Manual given by Jesus become the pattern for us to lead a Committed Christian Life! Amen
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for gift of your son Jesus. Thank you for loving us so much that you gave us your only son. Help us to grow ever stronger in our faith and be a powerful witness of Gospel. Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
Lord, help me to be humble always. Teach me to share what I have with others. Teach us, Lord, to be generous. Amen.

Lord we ask for your guidance as we attempt to understand and unpack your scriptures. Guide us with your spirit that we may fully understand and comprehend the messages you have given to us in these holy texts from your very Word, Jesus Christ himself. Give us the courage to seek you in prayer and the willingness to follow your words into a deeper understanding of your call to us in this time. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our lord. Amen.
"I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"”(John 11:25-26)
Dear God, give us wisdom to know the difference between correcting things and letting them slide a little for the sake of charity and peace. You are my justice; you are my confidence. I need to rest in you. Amen.

O Father of peace, you sent your Son to walk this earth to show us peace, you sent your Spirit that we may be filled with this peace, you now send up forward with this same peace to all we meet, help us to realize this peace ..... Amen
Loving God, we rejoice that we are called to follow Jesus, here and now, in this place and time given to us. We thank you for that joy. Help us to fulfill the mission you have given each of us. We ask this through Jesus your Son. Amen.

Loving God, give us the courage of Mary and Elizabeth. Help us, too, to rejoice is your presence among us in our brothers and sisters, those whom we love and those whom we are challenged to love. We ask this through Jesus your Son. Amen.
Loving Father, we are all called to share in the mission of love. Grant that in answering this call, we may open ourselves totally to receive your grace.

Loving Father, we asked you in general too many things, perhaps too many. Grant us what we truly need and let your will be done first. Amen.
Lord Jesus when we allow the world to pull us away from your very presence, send your Spirit to us again to guide us back to your side. Amen
