What is the storm in your life?
Do you have Jesus in your boat? He’s right there with you.
He would not have allowed it, unless he knew you could go through it.
He wants to mold your character because it will go into eternity.
“Keep on being brave! It will bring you great rewards. Learn to be patient so that you will please God and be given what he has promised.” (HEB 10: 35 – 37)

“Here I am Lord, I come to do thy will!” (PS 40; 8a & 9a)
Lord we ask you for strength. We know that this world is full of constant change and that we may not always like or agree with the life situations we find ourselves in. Be by our side, and guide us through the rough times in life and the transitional periods, guiding us ever closer to your kingdom.

"Jesus went up the mountain and summoned those whom he wanted
and they came to him.
He appointed Twelve, whom he also named Apostles,
that they might be with him
and he might send them forth to preach
and to have authority to drive out demons" (Mk 3:13-19)
As we marched through downtown Los Angeles those that favored abortion on demandfollowed us shouting opposition to us who wanted to uphold the beauty of life. They said that we were taking away the freedom of a woman to choose.
As Catholics we believe that life begins at conception. That life is to be cared for
as a special gift from God.
Loving and compassionate God, help us to put Charity first. Give us a discerning heart to know when to make the exception to the law. We ask this through Jesus our God and brother. Amen.
Have a great day!
"As Jesus was passing through a field of grain on the sabbath,
his disciples began to make a path while picking the heads of grain.
At this the Pharisees said to him,
“Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?”
He said to them,
“Have you never read what David did
when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry?
How he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest
and ate the bread of offering that only the priests could lawfully eat,
and shared it with his companions?”
Then he said to them,
“The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
That is why the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.” (MK 2:23-28)
“No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins are ruined.” (Mark 2:22a)
In the written scroll it is prescribed for me, to do your will, O my God, is my delight, and your law is within my heart. Amen
"The Word of God is living and effective" (Hebrews 4:12)
"They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.
Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd,
they opened up the roof above him.
After they had broken through,
they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying.

The whole town was gathered at the door.
He cured many who were sick with various diseases,
and he drove out many demons,
not permitting them to speak because they knew him.
"Jesus came to Capernaum with his followers,
and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught.
The people were astonished at his teaching,
for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.
In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit;
he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”
Jesus rebuked him and said, “Quiet! Come out of him!”
The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him.
All were amazed and asked one another,
“What is this?
A new teaching with authority.
He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.”
His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee."
"After John had been arrested,
Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the Gospel of God:
“This is the time of fulfillment.
The Kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”
Loving God, you brought great peace and joy to our souls through our baptism. However, you did not say the road would be easy in giving ourselves fully to your cause. We thank you for the opportunity to live in fullness of your love. We thank you for the sacraments that cleanse us and bring us hope. May you be pleased by our example to live in the discipleship of your Son, Jesus Christ. In your name, we pray, Amen.
“Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing and everyone is coming to him.” John answered and said, “No one can receive anything except what has been given from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said that I am not the Christ, but that I was sent before him. The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete. He must increase; I must decrease.” (JN 3: 26 – 30)

“I do will it. Be made clean.”
And the leprosy left him immediately." (Lk 5:12-13)
