"Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all you lands.
Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
annouunce his salvation, day after day." (Ps 96: 1-2)
Oh Lord let my mouth be a source of praise and love for my neighbor….. Let my life be a humble example of your love…. Let this Christmas season of light and rebirth bring rebirth into my daily walk… in Jesus' name we pray. amen
We, the world, teach. Let us all remember, World, to be faithful and kind. Amen.
“…we have an advocate with the Father…who is expiation for our sins, and not for our sins only, but for those of the whole world.” (1 John 1: 2)
Let us pray, dear Jesus allow us to see beyond the empty tomb to the glory of the rising. Open our eyes to the ability to see and understand that after the cross comes the resurrection and that our hope in you will never be wasted. Amen.
“Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold to give me safety. You are my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake you will lead and guide me. Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.” (Ps 31: 3)
So, on the drive home from Mass, her dad explained, "You give birth to Jesus every time you bring love to someone who needs help. It's as simple as that."
“While all things were in deep Silence, and the world was in the midst of its course, Thy Almighty Word, O Lord, leapt down from heaven from thy Almighty Throne!”

“Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the Holy Spirit
that this child has been conceived in her." (Matthew 1: 20)
"Hark! my lover–here he comes springing across the mountains, leaping across the hills.
My lover is like a gazelle or a young stag. Here he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattices."

May it be done to me according to your word.” (Lk 1:38)
Less than a week away now to Christmas! Are you almost ready?
Readiness seems to be the theme of our scriptures today. Readiness at a very deep level, similar to the one you made with your spouse before your wedding, or your parents when you went off the college or out on your own, or any other BIG event in your life.
Lord God of the earth and heaven… help us to realize that it is more than earth that we seek…. We seek a real connection to a real God that is touchable…. May we connect with you during this advent season…… Amen
"The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David , the son of Abraham......Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who is called the Christ.
Thus the total number of generations from Abraham to David is fourteen generations; from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations; from the Babylonian exile to the Christ, fourteen generations."
“Teach me your ways, O LORD, make known to me; teach me your paths, Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior.” (Ps 25: 4-5)

"As they were coming down from the mountain,
the disciples asked Jesus,
“Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
He said in reply, “Elijah will indeed come and restore all things;
but I tell you that Elijah has already come,
and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased.
So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.”
Then the disciples understood
that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist." (Matthew 17: 9-13)
"Jesus says to the crowds: 'To what shall I compare this generation? It is like children who sit in the marketplaces and call to one another, we play the flute for you, but did not dance, we sang a dirge but did not mourn.' (Mt 11: 16-17)

"Jesus said to the crowds:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.

for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (MT 11:28-30)
“It is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.” (Mt 18:14)
We all deal with heartbreaks, but one of the hardest issues we face as young adults are break-ups. Today’s Gospel not only tells the story of the annunciation of the angel Gabriel to our beloved mother, it also tells the story of a heroic young lady that risked everything for the sake of God.
"Repent for the kingdom of God is close at hand. Prepare a way for the Lord and make his paths straight." (Matthew 3:2-3)
